Car got Epa.. 104 db 14 over limit

Are you guys 100% sure they are testing your cars correctly??? Anything over 100dB is real lould hey, I think they are testing the noise level too close. Just my oppinion.

i got tested by the EPA, so i am pretty sure its right. There were no walls or cars next to me so the sound wouldnt be bouncing off things. I also copped the $500 fine.

on my R32, i have a Flying Performance (www.flyn.com.au) 3" Dump Pipe/Front Pipe combo, a 3" highflow cat, and a 3" kakimoto catback exhaust... i think it reads around 87 - 88 decibels

Is the kaki cat back single muffler or does it have 2?

Ni, remember my GTSt had the trust ay 109dB... the GTR is running the same exhaust now, and this is definitely louder - and it has a 'silencer' of sorts...

I reckon you'd pip the 115dB mark, just by hearing it at track day (that's about 4 times as loud as mine)

I asked them to Make the system Under the limit by it is so ****en Loud it hurts my ears without the silencer in it over 3500 rpm's y is it so loud its a NA Sr20de Auto

Only a Cat back System thats 2.5" with a canon on the end no mufflers in the systems canon is 2.5" inlet and 6" to 4" tip

yeah all the tests were done accurately... when i get some time im going to take the ceffy down and get a reading at 3200rpm and 5200rpm

the soarer on 106 @3200rpm was funny cause its loudest between 4000rpm and 6000rpm
