Attention SAFC Owners

I'm buying one in the next couple of weeks.

I heard they have a boost gauge reading function in them? I.e. they tell you how much boost you are running.

But then I went to a workshop today and they said SAFC displays air flow, but not boost. Can anyone confirm?

Does that mean I can sell my existing mechanical boost gauge? Because my mate wants my boost gauge, but I don't want to sell it to him if the SAFC-II doesn't read boost.

SAFC II will display intake manifold pressure / vacuum ONLY if it is installed on a car that uses a MAP sensor...

Your 33 uses an AFM, so displays airflow instead...

Yep it'll only show how much vac/boost your running etc if you have a MAP sensor based car. Like a 1JZ-GTE in a soarer etc.

If you want to look more into what a SAFC does/ doesnt do etc, im pretty sure the american apexi website has pdfs of all the manuals on it available for download. Good for a read

fellas, i changed the sensor to a pressure sensor on the safc and it showed my boost. i dont know how it did it but all i did was instead of using the HOT-WIRE setting i used the boost and then changed the guages so i could see the pressure one and i could see the boost..doesnt run all that great up in the revs tho. showed 0.68bar, the same as what my turbo timer told me.
