Hi, I was wondering if you kind people would be able to name some places that do a good job at rebuilkding r33 boxes, and the prices paid.

I'd be most likely looking at the seals, bearings and synchros of the first 3 gears.

SK, I remember you saying somewhere that it'll cost about $500 in sydney. Where abouts is this?

Thanks

we just got two GTR boxes done here in Newcastle. One was $660 and the other was $330. pretty good value i think. Price also depends on what needs replacing.

Hi fellars

Thanks a lot for the good info. I guess it's been something that i've been dreading because I thought it was going to be very expensive.

But in the long run, I think if the box is going to be fixed for $500 give or take, that'll be a lot better than buying a replacement which will be at least $1k, and may have the same problems too.

Am I right in saying this?

I'd be interested to know this as well as I'm going to be looking to get my sr20 box rebuilt in the new year...

97r33gtst-whowa-typeM I've thought about it as well and I think you're right. Plus while you get it recond you can ask them how much power it's good for and you know you could pretty much eat of it.

When I got my v8 box redone it felt good when I got it back :)

I spoke to anthony and he quoted me 880 for 1,2,3 synchros, bearings and seals. I don't really think that this is a good price. Fellars, can anyone get me a better price in sydney?

did you mention Jett at all and ask him?
