wsln33
I want to run a time on slicks, was wondering what rims to put them on I believ the standard rims aren't wide enough to fit a decent slick tyre on it what do you guys think Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/57096-slicks/ Share on other sites

2rismo
Need to make them wider. It is possible to get say, a Falcon rim in 15x7" but the offsets are completely wrong. Better (read: cheaper) to pick up a low/no-dollar pair of steel stockers in a 15x6 and have em professionally widened in an offset to suit Should be about $50/wheel. qwikky
If your in sydney go and see the guys at australias bes tyres at lakemba. i picked up a pair of 15 x 7 mags and now have a couple of MTs 26 x 8 1/2, have only been able to do a 12.9 @ 99 mph at the moment due to tyre pressures. would advise to keep a close eye on this if serious.
