I want to run a time on slicks, was wondering what rims to put them on

I believ the standard rims aren't wide enough to fit a decent slick tyre on it

what do you guys think

Get some Falcon steel stockers and have em modified to suit.

Need to make them wider. It is possible to get say, a Falcon rim in 15x7" but the offsets are completely wrong.

Better (read: cheaper) to pick up a low/no-dollar pair of steel stockers in a 15x6 and have em professionally widened in an offset to suit

Should be about $50/wheel.

If your in sydney go and see the guys at australias bes tyres at lakemba. i picked up a pair of 15 x 7 mags and now have a couple of MTs 26 x 8 1/2, have only been able to do a 12.9 @ 99 mph at the moment due to tyre pressures. would advise to keep a close eye on this if serious.
