Newbie on SAU NSW

hi all, i'm from SDU in auckland, there's a good possibility that i'm moving over to Sydney in a few months time, so would like to start get to know some ppl in SAU Sydney, been a very active member of SDU in auckland for a number of years now

i was wondering if its possible to bring my car over to Oz, the car is under my mothers and my name, and i've had it for nearly 1 and half a year now, if it does cost, how much would the compliance cost? and also what are some of the other rules?

i have a 1991 R32 gts25 converted to a turbo (as in slapping a turbo on the NA engine, hehe) 5 stud conversion and all

and one other question, if i cant get it complianced there i will sell it in NZ, so i was wondering how much R34 gtt go for these days in Oz, the pre facelift model, 1998-2000 ones, i like their front

If you can prove that you've owned the vehicle for 12+ months, you are able to import the car without compliance and so forth. However as its in your mums name im not sure of the procedure, or if that loophole exists. Otherwise you would unfortunately be unable to import the car as its too highly modified, and that I don't know if R32 GTS25 are on the compliance listing.

R34 GT-T go upwards of $30k AUD, depending on spec.

sweet as man, sounds good so far, i'm not fussed who owns the car in Oz, jst as long as i can get it there without too much hassle

one other question, is there a site i can go to, to find out what personalised plates are still avaliable? i'm wanting to put on the same one i have in NZ, RB25DE hehe

plates in nsw are pretty expensive though(for what they are anyway!)...

jst took a brief look, pretty silly eh, annual fee? man that would suck, its only 400 or so in NZ to get, and its one off

You can actually get RB-25-DE quite cheap

The most work will be finding a way to get it into the country under the private import law!
