Japanese clothing size

I’m sure this has been done before, but I can’t find it.

What’s the difference in the Japanese sizing for cloths? More so the t-shirts? I’m an “Australian” medium size, but doubt very much the jap size M would fit. Any help would be great, as I don’t wish to waste my money on products that won’t fit.

The Japanese are smaller than westerners, so J-sizes will be smaller. In particular short sleeves, short legs on pants as they really do have small legs and arms. Also (generally) the size around the shoulders seems to be tight...but I guss that depends on person to person...can't really generalize so much as big, small, fat, thin, short, tall, deformed people are all over the world:D

Im a UK medium for t-shirts, so I got a large t-shirt from JUN. The thing is tiny! Its like a UK small.

Agreed. When I go shopping here I generally have to go one ot two sizes up from what I normally buy.

Yep... go to UNI QLO and ONLY by X or XL if available...

2 sizes up for me as well, XL all the way. I've had the best luck with finding stuff that fits at the Gap, UNI-QLO aint too bad either but some of their clothes tend to wear out kind of quickly.

Even if I'm lucky to find stuff that fits....every time I point up or scratch my head the sleeves go up to my elbows:D
