Aiight boys, i think its finally about time i joined the family. After much searching and thinking, i think i may have found the car i want. White manual r34 turbo. Only problem is it is interstate(NSW). Since i want it to be in its best health before i buy, i need to get it checked. Who in NSW can do this for me? Mainly compression test, accident checks, check if its stolen etc. Ive heard NRMA do this, are they any good?? What else can i look out for when buying an R34? I know the interior and exterior condition does reflect on the kms done and i have read the thread about what to look out for when buying a Skyline. Is there any way to tell if the Kms are guiwine(ie, tests). What else can i do to make sure the car iam buying is a non thrashed, well maintained and low kms glamour? Thanks in advance.

there is nothing u can do to test if the kms are genuine, forget the kms, just judge the car by condition, most imports are wound back.

unless u personally know anyone in sydney that can do it for you its a bit hard... i would not reccomend nrma, for similar money arrange an inspection at one of the import shops such as CRD, call them up and tell them exactly what u want checked im sure they will do it for you.

yeah if its in or near sydney CRD (www.croydonracingdevelopments.com) or unique autosports. http://www.uniqueautosports.com.au/ are pretty good so i've heard. If not NRMA are pretty good for most the mechanical stuff. Not sure how they are with testing turbo and shit. Definitely get them to check it out if the others don't work though.
