Based on gear ratios, I worked out the top speed of a R33 GTS25t to be ~270kmh. This is assuming the car has enough power to push it along, so probably not applicable to a completly stock car. I'd imagine it could do 240kmh comfortably stock.

I hear that 5 speed GTRs can do 240kmh in 4th gear, now thats some long legs.

I've done 260km/h @5500 rpm in 5th in my R33 GTR with stock gearbox. I slowed coz I didn't know the road too well so pushing it further wasn't a good idea.

I reckon it's got the go for 300km/h but needs a fair bit of straight road and a long braking area.

wholly 5h1T! thats bloody fast. i thought my brothers friend was insane for going 270kms on his motorbike.

On a cold night I had the needle just past the resettable odometer on my R32. I'd had the car not even a few weeks from Japan and it just had a cat-back fitted, however this did take quite a run up to achieve! The lines on the private road just looked like one big white one at speed. I slowed as soon as I saw tailights in front. Can do 180 in 4th before rear starts hopping, urging me to grab 5th.

I have this thing, after I run someone or do a silly speed my right foot goes all jumpy and shakey and I have to either stop and walk on it or just mash it into the firewall to keep it still, any one else get this?

Now you all know my darkest secret.

Rhys.
