GTR Radiator

Does anyone know if the std GTR radiator is bigger than the gtst one and if it fits in easily. Or are there any other cheap upgrade options to make the engine run a little cooler.

do you have aftermarket temp guage? if not i was just wondering how you know your car is running a little warm? As once my car is warmed up, the temp guage just sits dead in the middle and never moves, even after long hard driving.

yeah i have a autometer gauge, on hot days when i had my front mount on it would get to about 100degrees. The stock gauge dosent really move.

Seeing GTRs have a big front mount standard i thought they may have a bigger radiator.

I think they're the same units. Measure how thick the core is because the R32 GTR is 22mm thick.

I was looking at the dealers book and I remember both being the same.

the core on the gts looks about 22mm as well, looks like a couple of thermofans will be the go then.

Hi Clint,

I also thought about a GTR radiator, but as you have found they seem to be the same.

There was a guy at extreme horspower show last weekend from (I think, maybe someone saw it as well) Lonsdale radiators who had a nice big aluminium radiator that had SKYLINE marked on it. Didn't see a price, as there wasn't anyone at the stand.

Let me know how you go, as I reckon I'll be after one once all of my bits go on,

Try getting the core overhauled and cleaned out properly so that there is good heat transfer between the water and the cores.

Usually the standard fan is very efficient at drawing air through the radiator.

I may try PWR and see how much a alloy radiator is.
