Hey,

I own a 1976 Datsun 260z and have just learnt that the EFI/ECU Setup is from a L24E mr30 skyline (afaik).

Now to the bit where you can help me, I am in the process of figuring out tachometer interface wiring for the ECU loom to my stock tachometer. Im sure those who have extensivley worked on these systems would be familiar with the round 9 pin plug that attaches the ECU system to the rest of the car loom. However, I haven't been able to find a wiring diagram with any information relating how the Tachometer is connected in the xR30 skylines. Am I correct in assuming it is a standard 4 wire (or possibly 3 wire) tachometer that uses the signal from the positive side of the coil (Black-White trace wire, on ecu 9 pin plug) and then a doping resistor to the positive power. and then a positive and negative input?

any pictures, explanations or wiring diagrams would make me love you forever.

thanks.
