Sorry so long to respond to PM request Stirlo, but it sounds a hell of a lot like the fuel pump or filter has packed it in. Hope this is an easy fix for you, well until the low comp piston is fixed.

You can check the low comp piston a bit further:

Dry and no compression=rings broken/gone, hole in piston, gudgeon pin circlip failed and badly scoured bore,or valves/guides

Squirt of oil in bore and no compression=hole in piston, gudgeon pin circlip failed and badly scoured bore,or valves/guides

Dry and some compression=rings, gudgeon pin circlip failed and lightly scoured bore,or valves/guides

Squirt of oil in bore and some compression=valves/guides

This is a general guide only, and ,no, i haven't covered all possibilities, just the main ones.
