any of you canberra guys live in evett (spelling) my girlfriend just moved back to her place their for uni holidays and have seen a few lines near her place while visiting, wondering if it was any of you.

also how safe is my car there is it a good suburb i normally park near her old mans beamer so that makes me feel better.

Hi Adam, Evatt isn't bad. Rather garage Skylines though. Gangsta's dont even steal WRX's up here as everyones got one.

Better hope the line drivers dont see ya girlfreind though.....LoL

If your up this way on the 19th Dec cruise down the Cotter and hookup with the local SAU crew.

why am i hoping the line drivers dont see my girlfriend? ill try and see what im doing with work and come up and see you guys......oh and the girlfriend

      I definitely agree with you there - I never click on content for cars I would never ever be able to get or compete with/against/be seen next to. Seeing a MX5 compete with a FD RX7 will make people upset though, for sure. Even in 2.5L Turbo form which is pretty grass roots. (or at least as grass roots as classic cars can be) Yes we're all classic car owners now.

      People don't always want builds that are overly expensive, or have engineering/registration/insurance issues and head aches that come with them Whilst big dollar builds, and complicated stuff is interesting to watch, there is only a tiny % of people who would actually use this information, or have the spare finances to drop on said builds, whereas the buy a cheap(ish) cool car, and make it better, with a average budget, that the average Joe or Jane could achieve will always be a winner in my opinion

      It's kind of interesting - They definitely do builds that split the difference between what they like and what will generate views and engagement. The NC Platform always surprises everyone in a good way, in an uncomfortably good way some may say. They could throw a LS in there and arguably have the best (and best performing) car of the entire stable. But that isn't necessarily what draws views, because people viewing don't want to accept the vegetables of a LS NC MX5 being a superior vehicle in every way (including fun) than a RB26 240Z. This is also why there's not a lot of content about the GR Yaris (on the web in general). They're too good, yet 'only a Yaris' The community doesn't want certain cars to be as good as they are - to beat their hero cars, and I believe the NC MX5 is absolutely one of those cars.
