Skylinerz
The current power for an rb25de is something like 140-142kw at the fly wheel, now i know that its not a turbo and all, which means it is much harder to get power out of the car, but what modifications ups the power of a rb25de that gives it that better take off and top end, what mods have u guys done to increase power?Nismoman18 I would like to ask u what u have done to your car which makes it rival 200sx's and turbo charged 180's? MANWHORE
cam gear, pod, timing with octane booster or something, exhaust. What it comes down to is how much do you wanna spend? add a turbo? replace the bottom end with an rb30? skyla
the things I have done to my car are, K&N panel air filter, extractors, and 2 1/2" exhaust. this gets it going quite well for mid to top end power. Just remember that if you choose to go for a bigger exhaust you will sacrific a little lower end torque for top end power. Other things to look at are apexi sfac, and a lighter fly wheel will help in getting you off the mark quicker. MirKz
ive read you can gain a few extra kilowatts cheaply by advance timing by 3 degrees, putting in a highflow panel filter (or get a pod but keep the cold air induction and/or get a cold air box), get a fuel cut defender... but yeah... im not all that knowledgable... jus some ideas.. RB30-POWER
Remember these cars are already tuned for hi octane jap fuel. So advancing the timing further is possibly asking for trouble. gatty
fuel cut defender would be a waste of money on a rb25DE all i have is 2 1/2 " exhasut POD with CAI partition goes ok i guess...i run it on Shell Optimax Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/57513-how-to-squeeze-power-out-of-an-rb25de/#findComment-1131462 Share on other sites
Insomniac
Shell Optimax ay? And you're a QLDer? Bundaberg must be stealing all the Optimax then, coz on the S'Coast, you're lucky if you can get it before they run out for a few days...
