RB25det Neo in R32

I am seriously considering purchasing a 4WD NEO engine and putting it into my GTS4.

Anyone got any suggestions or advise on the work required. Also how hard it would be to wire up the ECU.

It will sitdirectly on your existing sump/diff box will bolt up

if yours is a manual you'll need a new spiggo bearing

Out of curiousity, what car is a 4WD RB25DET NEO from? The R34 GT4 (or whatever it is called) is NA right?

Ahhh, that'd be a very nice engine. Probably works out a hell of a lot cheaper than a GTR and you get most of the grunt anyway.

nissan werent keen to put teh rb25det into a gts-4 ... they deemed it too close to a gtr... but the stag works off a different marketing group

Best way to wire it in i would think would be to use the r34 engine loom, if you dont have that then could be a bit more fun

Once you old engine is out you should be able to remove old computer and pop old loom and connectors out through the hole in the firewall and then just thread through the new engine loom and attach new computer.

With the traction control issue I imagine it runs from the throttle body TPS system? Can you just replace it with the RB20 one or how about just pulling the fuse?

I tell you what it would be one mean car with that engine in. Oh! what to do.

How much do you reckon it would cost to get a mechanic to put it in?

i have meet a guy who has done the conversion well not the neo version & the rb25 is a bit longer then the rb20det.

You got to remember *there is no stight bolt on engine conversions*

maybe he said taller ?

I think mr mayhem is right they are higher not longer. the main difference with the rb20 and rb25 is the heater hose dimensons

My mate who done it said it was a few mm longer

he didnt know where u coulding find out but he did fit it in & had 2 do something 2 to the raditor or something like that not 2 sure but it did go stright into the sump & so forth.
