Well that's just it. How can you compare any driver from Ferrari, Williams, Mclarens, Renault or BAR on equal terms with a Jag? If Webber can get P2 in a sh*tty Jag then that's DAMN well impressive.

:werd:

I dont presume to know everything about F1, but to think the only forces at play are driving ability is pretty silly:(

Sometimes you cant even compare drivers in the same team for politicial reasons. Think back to when Montoya and Lowndes were team mates. Not saying Lowndes is equal the driver, but it helps if the engineers and the drivers can actually speak the same language:(

It will be great to see what he can do next season- he's pulled off some sensational drives in some pretty unsensational cars.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we see him in the running for the world championship (provided we get rid of that shoe bloke!)

Remember when webber finished 6th at melbourne when he was with minardi. That effort deserves a chance at williams as the minardi car is so uncompetitive its not funny.
It helps when a dozen of the top cars infront of you are forced out of the race.

If you ask me Webber was an 8-10th place racer in the Jag and I think in 2005 he'll move up to a 5-7th place finisher (or 3-4th if you take out the Ferrari's) for the season.

I think Webber will grab a podium finish at the Aussie GP in 2005.

I hope Heidfeld grabs the other spot at Williams, Pizzonia will only complain about Webber having a better car when he's getting dominated by the Aussie. It'll be a good tussle this year if Williams get their car right, with the issues other teams are having hopefully it'll work to an advantage for Webber.

That doesnt change the fact that he scored points in a car that rarely finishes races let alone points.
