Thanks Dude!

Yes Well I am hoping for a power gain... However 5 weeks ago i gave a company a large amount of cash for a HUGE FMIC..... 5 weeks later I am still waiting for it... was supposedly meant to be in transport (finally!!) and arrive on Tuesday just gone.... however the powers that be have upset me yet again! so I'm still waiting. basically i have said if i can't touch the FMIC by next week i want my money back!! MAN it was meant to be ready for auto salon 3 weeks ago!! so yeah still pissed!

and just to make it official, due to uncertainties and unbeknownst to me that you wanted the ITC I will shout you lunch at Noodle Inn next wednesday!:uh-huh:

Well after the mods I am hoping for about 265 - 270 rwhp.

at the moment i have 240 rwhp so hoping that Mr big mofo FMIC and Mr ITC will give me the extra 30rwhp or so.....

1 little prob.... I am still running standard clutch .... D'OH!!!

25GTT, do the clutch now!!!! I just got caught out and am not impressed - could only get 260rwhp before the power curve flat lined due to cutch just not being able to hold on - on the dyno - on the road is a completely different story, can't make boost without the clutch smoking like a mofo. Most annoying. Also the AFM maxed out at 4500rpm, so that will have to be replaced aswell, and the power curve falls over at 4500 until 260hp then it just flatlines:( Must stop typing starting to depress myself

Well that proves how much i know about computers eh;) yeh i knowit was a stoopid question from the start, maybe im just bored and making conversation.

Been worrying about this too, thats y i killed my plan for the emanage. I coulda extended my resources and bought it but then when the clutch and turbs went i would be badly in debt so i think im gonna wait to do it all at once.

So u gonna show up tonite macka and 25gtt?

Heya guys,

Yeah the SAFC does air and fuel mixtures but the ITC does Ignition Timing so basically the igniting of the air and fuel i'd say. So now with these 2 bases covered it is pretty close to haveing a Apex Power FC but a bit cheaper. Apparently verhy Highly modded cars run the same combo SAFC with ITC so it musn't be too bad.

These are quite rare now due to Apex stopping production as it was a lot more money conscious for people to buy the same package as what i have rather than the PowerFC therefore Apex would have lost a bit of money with the PFC system therfore stopping production of the ITC.

When i saw it for sale i bidded on it... i out bidded someone for it but not realising it was skyzer...:)

Hey Dan,

You think thats bad having to wait 5 weeks for a part, i've been waiting for 17 weeks (and still counting) for a Greddy Plenum and i CAN'T use my car coz its in pieces waiting for the plenum, damn dodgey malaysian importer... ggrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... So i've told the guy to go and screw himself and getting a plenum from Sub-Zero... Should be turning up in the next couple of days... Hopefully...

Heres a word of advice before beginning ANY mods, make sure the company has the parts in stock (as in you can hold them in your hands), even if it means paying for the parts before hand then paying for labour, it will save a heap of headaches... Unfortunately i've found out the extremely hard way... :) Also remember that its not necessarily the mechanics fault for the delay, in my case the mechanic got parts through someone else...

Anyway my 2c...

I certainly agree with ya! in all the rush of auto salon i gave the money to the perth mechanic for him to give to Micks Metalcraft in the eastern states. I know it's not my mechanics fault but it just seems the eastern states take WAY to long! i would also be a bit cautious with other eastern states companies they are VERY good at what they do but for time consuming!... i have learnt now don't pay until you can touch!!!!

Get CLUTCH NOW......

I toasted mine about 1 minute after install and tune of safc.

finished all work on car..... pulled out of psi, dropped it, and toasted clutch..... could smell burning clutch all the way home to Dianella............. then nursed it for a few days, went on skyline cruz... had 1 drag (remember adam).. and that was it.... took me 40 minutes to get home from leederville......

hhahhhh

OK guys once again i need your help.... i must Admit i think clutches is prob one of the most frequently talked about thing in these forums!! ok here are my options

1. ceramic clutch 2000lbs soft = $600

2. ceramic clutch 2500lbs hard = $600

3. Multibutton 2000lbs soft = $800

4. Multibutton 2500lbs hard = $800

Do you guys think that the ceramic 2000lbs soft would be ok to use? prob won't be pushing out more than 300rwhp. I know IMACUL8 laughed at me but freeay driving in the morning will be a bitch with a hard to push down clutch also my gfriend drives me car a couple of times when i have a had a couple (20! ) drinks...

He said if you want it to be nice and sft and are going to be pushing out huge HP then multibutton will be the way to go... but he didn't say how HUGE HUGE is....

basically do you guys think i can get away paying $600 for a 2000lbs soft ceramic plate at about 300 rwhp?

No 2.

I think 3 and 4 are button/puck clutches..... strong but a prick of a clutch to drive in traffic....

your best bet is 2. The stock clutch is 1200 or 1500, so 2000 isnt really that much of a increase.

For your needs I would go 2.

Its not that hard Dan, and you get use to it.

I beleive ya gotta go Brass button if you want 300rwhp or more.....2500lb pressure plate.

I dont think the ceramice organic 2500 will cut the custard in the long run. But you want driveability. Get the 2500 ceramic and replace it again in a year :) your choice. If you drive it fairly hard.

I have the 2500ceramic from auto clutch while strong and easy to use and most dumps will grip well, on one occasion i dropped it and clutch smoke poured out the sides even with that one and i have 270hp from psi's dyno

Time will tell i guess.....The dude from autoclutch said "occaiosional" drag meets. which tells me its not as strong as what ppl make it out to be

cheers

mac
