Problem with Steering/HICAS

I have only recently purchased my 1993 Skyline GTS-t and I am having problems with the power steering.

If I have been driving it for a bit, more than say 1/2 hour when I switch it off and then switch it back on after only a few minutes the HICAS light comes on and I dont have power steering and the light stays on.

It doesnt come on at all when I am driving only when I switch the car off then on again a short time later. The power steering pump was replaced before I got the car.

Yesterday I was idling for about 10-15 mins waiting and my gf's bro is asked why and I told him and we switched it off then on and again I had no power steering but it was ok when I was idling.

Its starting to annoy me. I havent done the HICAS diagnostic check yet as I havent printed it off, also if I did this check would I have to wait until I lost the power steering for it to check all the sensors, etc. Or will it pick up a faulty one that is most likely causing this problem any way??

I had this problem. It lasted for about 1 month and then fixed itself. For the life of me I could not get the bloody car into diagnotic mode. Has been fine for the last 3 months or so now. I know this doesnt help you at all but there are other threads on this topic.
