Anyone had any problems ?

I parked my car today next too a bunch of hill billies getting into a rusty old magna and went into the shop for 5 minutes when i came back there was a dirty big golly running from the top of the passenger side window all the way down to the side skirts.

I dont understand how these jelous assholes can just do that to peoples nice cars.

Oh and they banged the trolley on the rear of my car and left it there.

Straight to car lovers to wash it off.. was late back to work from lunch..

What can you do ?

Totally friggin sad if you ask me.

:);) ;)

Hell, I park my car opportunely all the time..

Next to a concrete pole - Only ONE numbnut that can dent your car

Next to a disabled bay - AMPLE clearance on one side.

In a single spot between two concrete colums (underground)

Right at the END of the carpark, next to a kerb -- One numbnut equation again

or If i'm going to sticksville, i'll park in 2 spaces on purpose. especially if there's SHITBOX cars either side..

just my tips :)

u should try and park it where there arent as many cars, which is usually further from the entrance to the shopping centre, so u have to walk a bit further..... prolly worth it though.

Yup couldn't agree with ya more! i park my car and the far end of the shopping centre where there are hardly any other cars stupid enough to park... then i also take up to car bays... i know that this is annoying for shoppers but i only do it in places where there are NO other cars around...so no one can complain then...

Unfortunately though sometimes we have to park next to crappy cars who don't give a rats about ours... it's inevitable.. i just wish people would respect our cars a bit more thats all....

yer couldnt agree with u more. its the same as that guy who stole all the performance cars in perth. they dont have any respect for our cars because they;ve never worked hard enough to understand what we went through to get it. ;)

Even though I hate the risk of shopping centres, I would advise against taking up 2 spots unless the car park was nearly empty. Reason being it pisses people off, and they would be more inclined to key your car.

Just follow all the other suggestions, ie find spots where you are less likely to get hit, ie far from the entrance, and nowhere near the trolley return bay or any stray trolleys. Sure someone could just wheel their trolley up and hit your car with it anyway but your chances of being hit are massively increased even if there is one stray trolley nearby (whether by accident or on purpose).

But if your car is out of sight, wouldn't it make it more appealing for theives and people to vandalise your car?

That's too far away ;)

A happy medium needs to be struck. You just have to use your spider sense in car parks and figure out where the lowest risk areas are. Touch wood mine has worked very well so far. (touch wood again!)

Parking a skyline at a shopping centre?

NEVER

I cannot agree with you more... kind of eliminates the problem.

Unless you want it to be scratched, stolen, or vandilised, don't take a chance... secure parking all the way.

Duncan also has a good point ;)

Hmmm,

I don't like parking my Line at Shopping Centres either - But take a different approach to you guys.

I park as close as I can to the entrance of shopping centres, where there are lots of people walking though. Must be very well lit. I do this so my car is in full view of everyone. I also look for security cameras and where the guards are patroling. I make a point of turning my alarm on in from on everyone.

I DONT like parking far away from other cars as it would increase the chance of getting it pinched. (ie easy for no-one to notice or see)

I also watch our for people/groups who are scoping my Line - if I see them, I'm gone. They maybe just admiring, but who can take the risk.

If all else fails, take Nick's advice - Don't even go there !!!
