burkey22
Hey all. I've decided I want to run the my Stagea down the 1/4 mile at Tarmak Dragway. I realise I need a CAMS licence to do this. How do I go about getting one? Also is there anything else I need to know? Any help would be awesome. Thanks guys. Zane. burkey22
Hello again. I just found the Tarmak Dragway website and it told me everything I wanted to know. Turms out I don't need a CAMS licence. Too easy. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/57948-i-wnat-to-drag-at-tarmak/#findComment-1113851 Share on other sites

burkey22
On the Tarmak website it says "ALL vehicles must have a catch can for radiator overflow. this is additional to the standard one." What exactly does this mean? And it says entry is $45. PHaT MR30
umm although you have a a catch can you need to have something which catches overflow, (Ben your catch can from embleton still has an overflow), what most ppl do is take the overflow pipe and a 600ml coke bottle and drill a hole in the lid jam the pipe in there and stickytape it there. simple! oh and its an ANDRA licence i think you need, you get that on the day for about $10. dont brake the stagea!!! button290
it is $45 plus $10 for the day license, all you have to do is rock up and pay. i ran my car last time round they dont really check it at all, and i only have the standard overflow on my radiator. when in comes to the safety check, they TELL you to tick them all, even after you tell them you dont have it..hahah (great for their insurance). :flamed: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/57948-i-wnat-to-drag-at-tarmak/#findComment-1116065 Share on other sites
Isurus oxyrinchus
Don't forget a long sleeved Shirt and Helmet... And Tail shaft loop on single Tailshaft cars ... I always just use a 600 ml bottle and tape it up to catch overflow.. simplistic...
