Help With Compliance for wrx

Hey guys,

A friend of mine has a 2002 wrx sti sitting in his garage which he imported earlier this yr.

To cut a long story short his compliance fell through and is now looking someone with plates to help him.

Know of any1 that can help....

I may be wrong, but I dont think he will be able to comply the car.

WRX's to my knowledge arent eligible for import for road use due to being sold locally.

If it was imported earlier this year then it was done in one of the following 3 ways:

1. As a personal import, in which case can be complied almost by anyone as long as meets state regulations

2. As race / rally in which case cannot be complied

3. Imported illegally, in which case run and hide.........

I don't think you're going to be able to find anyone to do it legally man, believe me I've tried before! As far as I know, like Blitz said, WRXs cannot be imported legally into Australia due to being Aus Delivered and locally sold. However, if it is a personal import then there should be no probs! By the way, wouldn't reccommend any of the illegal stuff, big fines and lengthy jail terms

All I know is that unless it is a personal import, you wont get it complied. Race/Rally use only.
