Fkn awesome Pete. Can't wait to go for a spin, especially after the full plan is in effect.

Hey which way does the wategate flapper open? If it opens towards the turbine outlet a small splitter between the wastegate and turbine outlet might help reduce turbulence in and get the whole shebang spooling up a little earlier. Seems to work well on other open-mouth-style dump pipe IMHO.

If you're going to go for a Haltech give me a yell. I know one of the guys there who might be able to look after you.

Once again. Awesome. It's making me question my choice of car.

...Ben

The dump pipe looks very Tomei styles.... which has been proven to be more efficient than the HKS split type ... if im not mistaken.

Looks like your rig will haul some ass dude!

If you're talking about a twin-pipe design then that's definitely not what I'm talking about. I'm a big believer in the open-mouth collector style of dump pipe.

just going on whatever glen (who just happens to own a t51r gtr motor in a r31 recomends)

but yea i think smothness is a winner and it certainly has that

only time will tell but hopefully it will just go hard!!!

or as rhys says as long as it chirps seconds ill be happy

Low rpm and off boost all flow goes through turbine. High rpm and on boost most flow goes through the wastegate. An open-mouthed collector has the full exhaust cross-section available for both situations while a twin-dump at high boost will require the high wastegate flow to flow through a small diameter pipe.

Twin dumps work fine as long as there is room to put a nice big pipe off the wastegate. If the space is restricted then a nice open-mouthed collector works pretty well.
