Was that on the BD4s dyno...my understanding is their brand of dyno read less then Dyno Dynamics so thats a great result.

But more then anyting, i want to know if your happy with how it drives on the street. You think it is too laggy or a nice compromise between mid to top and acceptable city driving????

good to compare graphs at 20 psi once you get them up ...

my run went from 22 but tapered down to 20 psi

have to get some of these hi po rb20s running down the quarter mile

Diff goes in this weekend, then hopefully next Friday night at Calder im going to give my car another run at 1.5bar...hoping i can get the 60ft down to 2.0 flat and pick the mph up from 113 to about 115-116.

Im hoping for about a 12.2-12.4 , but will be stoked with a 12.6 and no breakages. Actually i will be happy with a few runs in the high 12s with no breakages:)

My problem is having been playing with cars so much of late im behind with work and some courses so no spare time :)

I did some standign 1/2 mile stuff at an airport lat weekend, and with only 1bar up the old girl she placed 18th out of 95 odd cars, full or Turbo Porches, GT3s, GTRs, Ferraris. I was only 8 tenths slower then a Z-Tune :P:)

What type of dyno do BD4's use?

its amazing how much a good boost controller can effect spool, when we were tuning my car started off doing a run with the controller off and it made 12psi at 4300rpm, took a good 800rpm for boost to go from 3psi to 12psi... then we switched on the controller, did the relearn and it now gets 14psi at 4000, just shoots straight up. averaged a gain of about 40hp from 3k to 4.5k! and thats just a crappy old HKS evc 3.

If only SA had a running drag strip, who knows wtf bob jane is doing down here... :)

Apparently the City Dismantlers bloke went to purchase AIR then Bob Allrounder found out and pulled the pin (bad blood between the two). There was a little thread in SA regarding the speculation of what was going on. Apparently the city dismantlers dude is switching the direction of which the drag strip runs.. So your not running in to the sun as the afternoon approaches.

true.. im going to fiddle with the EBC.. if i can see any improvement ill get it back on a dyno

thats something they should of done a long time ago. would be even better if they could lengthen the run off to allow the fuelers etc to come back but seeing as there is roads either end of the track it doesnt seem likely.

Whooo silv

Ya getting it up there im gonna havta watch my time's you"ll probably knock me out my spot in the times section.

Gonna havta hurry up and get the new car finished .Compition its fun hey ,good luck :-)

cheers Peter

My apprentice ran 13.9 @ 98 in his R32 4 door. Stock standard running 13 psi boost. was 1.85 sixty footing on MT street radials. I wanted too see what it would do standard before it has nitrous fitted, new fuel pump & clutch. Might crack a 12 sec pass.

its not to bad to drive the rpm scale is correct

as for getting it onto boost sooner to be honest i was expecting boost much later than what its coming on at these turbos are rec for rb25 and from what ive seen they are getting them on at 5000 rpm there abouts so u would think that mine would come on much later i was very surprised

    • ADHD in all form isn't about "can focus, or can't focus" or is hyper active or isn't etc.   It's all a dysregulation. Either time feels to be stationary, or time just vanishes in a split second. We are either under focussed on the task at hand (as we're over focussed on our surroundings) or we have no idea an atomic bomb went off beside us as we're so hyper focussed and locked in on things.   Not to mention the rapid fire thought process. What it takes a "normal" process to think up a solution to a problem, ADHD will be able to give you 5 different ways to solve the problem, and the pros and cons of each. While we can be highly impulsive and lack the ability to "control ourselves" we can also become paralysed with the inability to make a decision for ourselves. While most of us have an OCD like requirement for perfection, we lack the ability often to remain focussed to get things to a perfect state. Those with undiagnosed ADHD as adults, can often find the last part actually stops them ever attempting to do things that they have the ability to do, as the reasoning is often "if I can't do it perfectly, it's not worth doing"   As for projects... Ha ha ha, I still need to take the other half of my wall trim down in the Fiance's office so I can paint it. Need to finish digging and running the back yard drains, my R33, getting the Ninja bike registered (now being sold), the moped project, fixing either of the lawn mowers so they're reliable, along with a myriad of other things.   It's why I've been going through lately and just being brutal and clearing projects off that I won't actually ever complete. IE, moped will go to the tip, or be given away, bike is being sold, Subaru project being sold, some parts for other projects given away. Or I've been making myself focus on one thing at a time, by ticking off the smallest quickest ones first.   There's also a reason by our mid twenties we seem to be "know it alls", as we've all been down some of the weirdest and oddest rabbit holes when you follow the dopamine trail. It's often also why we're more a jack of all trades, but not a master of one.   However, pretty much all of my hobby projects, in one way or another, all come back around to automotive. That's my zen area.
    • Remember reading about this not too long ago. been for sale for a long time  this is like when the wife says you need to sell the car so you put it up for a ridiculous price no one will pay
    • You are perhaps suggesting that it is not a super car? Well....it's not an AU.
    • Dropped the MX5 of this morning to get the hardtop colour matched and some PDR done, they are also going to give it a buff to remove some "stubborn" swirl marks and light scratches in the clear coat Over the last few months the poor little thing has copped some shopping centre car park abuse, I try to not park in them, but hitting Westfield's a few times over the last few months has taken its toll, nothing really bad, but enough of a trigger for a "while we're in there" thingie  Once it's back and all the one colour, with a few dents and mark's removed I'll give some of these products a go and see what they're like
