Does anyone have their intercooler piping wraped up for heat isolation?

I wonder if it would be really beneficial considering the amount of air that goes thru. Would the air really manage to heat up?

I mean we are talking about 100's of liters of air in seconds rushing thru a pipe.

Any ideas?

Also, does anyone know where good isolation tape can be bought from. I found this on eBay.

"Cool-Tape consists of a 1 mil aluminized material bonded to a light weight, woven fiberglass with super strong adhesive backing and release liner. Cool-Tape™ can reflect up to 1500 degrees of radiant heat. The uses are limited only by your imagination but common uses include wrapping wires or fuel lines and sealing openings in floor boards or firewalls. This is the finest heat shielding tape on the market Up to 1500 degree radiant heat protection More flexible Strong adhesive  Thin for a tight wrap NOT for Exhaust pipes"

i used stuff similar to this on the pipe that comes accross the engine then into the intake., it does reflect most of the heat after a run or two. touching the other intercooler pipes compared to the one that does have it on there is big difference.

how much is that stuff anyway?
