unfortunately i cant claim the driving as my own as im only a beginner and decided to give the car over for a visitor to australia for the actual comp portion of drift battle to Jairus Whanerau from New Zealand.

right click and save as - this is Jairus's second pass... first time he was even in the car so he didnt exactly have much time to prac in it to get used to it.

right click and save as - 3rd pass... mmmmmmmm

haha loved the commentator...

" of corrupt drift"

" of d1 garage"

"and now an international guest, drifting for team super fun happy sliders"

LMAO ROFL... love it...

how'd you manage to get Jairus to drift your car...

we were farken dissapointed as by the tandem match up tho... bloody legacy wagon got an easy picking and blew it... bah. Final 4 shoulda been the SA boys and the ceffy methinks, not the R33.

it was bs... at the driver briefing we were told that in the tandems the chase car should follow exactly what the lead car does to win... if the lead car does something to make the other car avoid hitting him then he gets a better mark... that 3rd round jairus led and not one time did the onevia follow his line... he didnt enter anywhere near as early into the corners so of course he was able to get closer... but he didnt get as good an angle through the corners... and jairus started drifting from behind the bridge through the last corner in one motion... of course thats going to be slightly slower than fishtailing but fishtailing is piss easy compared to one full motion which they said scored higher.

and the onevia got so close cause he was fishtailing the entry to the last corner that HE almost hit my car... bah... doesnt matter... he wants to start competing here.... with my car ;) he said hes going to talk to the sponsors back home about it and buy my car and leave it here in aus so he can fly over for the events.

i met him saturday in the pits after i did a few prac laps and he came over and had a talk about the car cause he had one in NZ that he drifted... we spoke for a while about the comp and NZ and then he saw me on sunday and came said hi and we chatted a bit more.... i finished in the prac session and asked if he wanted to go out in my place and actually do the comp... he was eager to get out there for the whole weekend so i handed him the keys :P

he didnt get any prac.... only the 3 laps u get to get into the top 16 lol... on his third lap he finally got it right and drifted the last section in 1 :) just like the D1 jap drivers

u kiwis are like mafia or somefin... im sure da boss will fink of an idea ;)

LMAO he will be back for future events i think thats almost a guarantee

after pricing 18" tyres last week im cringing at those pics!!!

After viewing one of the vids i was impressed though. You car certainly must have a bit of balls to smoke em in some of the situations there. That track is rather different to the track we have up here for drifting, would love to have a go at it.

    • Hello First, I apologize if this is not the correct forum. Let me know and I will move it to the correct one. I'm having a problem with the tachometer on my Skyline R33 with an RB25DET Neo engine. I'll tell you from the beginning. I'll tell you from the beginning. I have the RB25DET Neo engine installed in a Nissan Patrol GU, with a Link G4X control unit specifically for that engine,  and I have fitted a Skyline R33 tachograph to the original GU dashboard, but it doesn't work properly. I have the tachometer connected to the positive and negative terminals of the GU panel's wiring, and the signal cable is connected directly to the ECU output pin, but the rpm fluctuates widely. Can anyone tell me if the output signal from an R33 ECU is the same as the output signal from an R34 ECU, or if the voltage and signal type are different? Regards and thanks.
    • I guess it was the thought about "Oh if I were to drive this everyday". Then no, SL500 I wouldn't really consider lmao.
    • Yeah actually really fair point. Idk what I was thinking when looking at the SL500. Now that I think about it, I feel like I would have more enjoyment out of a shitbox that I would need to repair than some fancy merc. Although I must admit the SL500 does look quite nice. My bad hahaha.
    • 100% Also "Not wanting to spend money" is THE WORST IDEA IMAGINABLE when coming to a project car of any kind. They EXIST to BURN MONEY. Sure, gas money is a thing. A stock car with the worst fuel economy ever sold would probably be cheaper than modifying a car with FREE petrol for the life of your ownership of it, lol.
    • Amount of time you're being observed by law enforcement is so minute, that you could be a dumb shit 90% of your driving time, and never lose a demerit. You could also be the best driver ever and still get hit with a fine.   When you realise how quickly everything turns from "Wee, we're having fun!" To "oh f**k oh f**k oh f**k", you start to realise the only way to be a good driver, is to not be doing anything dumb or unexpected by normies on the road. You want to go fast, go to the track. Someone there in a 1990s slow POS will also show you how bad of a driver you are as they lap 10 seconds per lap quicker than you can in a car that should be considerably faster.
