getting exhaust tested

Hi guys,

Just asking if anyone knows where to get my exhaust tested for sound levels. Never tested one before and a search didnt really find much.

I have a front/dump (in one) + 3'' high flow cat + 3'' catback and i think that maybe its a bit too loud (relative to other cars). Not really sure about it.

Also, if they find my exhaust over the 90db limit, would they do anything? I dont want to dig myself into a hole lols.

I 'read' that it is possible to just add like a centre muffler of some sort to quieten it down?

I think for a first offence they usually just defect you with no fine and you have to get it fixed then so I would just wait till that day if I were you and not boot it when you see a cop.

I'd suggest you take it to one of the major exhaust places (like Liverpool Exhausts). They will test it for you and certainly won't dob you in if it is too loud, plus they can suggest ways for you to quieten it down so it's more pleasant for you to drive.
