Just a thought, why not hold it at someplace like the Laurel Hill Convention Centre, between Batlow and Tumbarumba.  Accommodation, food, and maybe drinks [not sure] if not then byo.  Showers, toilets etc and I reckon price would be low-ish.

There are other centre's around like that one, they make good bases for car/motorcycle meets etc.

Anyway January in Wagga doesn't sound too flash, +40'C days and all [good drinking weather though].

As written...........

Stay tuned wises, Kamikaze and I are trying to get something happening.

We reckon a day meet to meet everyone and then set a date, place and time for a Murray-Murrumbidgee Skyline Day.

We'll keep everyone posted here, if you know of other skyline owners, let them know. R3? whatever as long as it's a skyline.

Hey guys,

Just found this post....

Laurel Hill is a great venue (I had a relative that used to mange the place). I'm not sure of pricing but will try to find out today. Wagga will be mid 40's during January, but if we based ourselves in the mountains you can expect it would be somewhat cooler... after all, Laurel Hill is 1500 metres higher than Wagga.

I think we should all head over to Fatz track day, I'm going and think it would be great to get some country cars out there.

The Nat's weekend in Canberra is another good option, or just a cruise there at some stage. I head over there heaps to cruise and enjoy some good roads.. I'll let you ACT guys know next time I'm over there..

Narrandra drags will be hot as, but I'd still go...

So yeah, get a general consensus - but I'd have to say either Canberra for the roads, or Larel Hill for some mountain coolness :D

I'd say Canberra has less ummm.. hassels. in a blue way....

Sorry oscar, thought you knew this thread, actually thought it was you that told me about it, how wrong can a fella be.........

We were just trying to organise a meeting to get everyone together so we can plan some things like a 'Skyline Day' [that may turn into a weekend] that would be worthwhile for ppl from Canberra etc to attend. They may not come to some sh1tty little meeting [and who would blame them], but they might come to a party meeting.

I was thinking Laurel Hill cos we would all be together, we could organise food, drinks, a band/DJ, and do it all for a under say [don't really know yet] $50 a head, but this is the sort of thing we need to talk about, so first step is to have a meeting somewhere to meet and talk with Albury/Griffith/Wagga etc etc.

Stay tuned..............

Well, I'm thinking that the date for the meeting will be either 23rd January, or 6th February 2005.

It's later than we all were thinking, but..............Simmernats 6th/7th January, Fatz track day 15th/16th January, 23rd is free, then 30th will be Australia Day type weekend [26th January].

I'm thinking that the 6th Februaury might be best, gives everyone time to plan etc.

Please post if you think otherwise.

Jeez ya wanna know everything doncha.............

Don't know yet, I'll arrange something, but probably make it in Wagga, it's most central to Albury, Tumut, Griffith, Leeton, Cootamundra, Young etc

Any suggestions, we could maybe get the back room of the Shanty hotel at Alfredtown near Wagga??? {I could see Mick and ask}. If you have a better idea let me know.

Trying to avoid anyones house at this point, I feel [and I don't know why] it's probably best for now.

    • Yes...but look at the numbers. There is a tiny tiny fraction of the number of Joules available, compared to what is used/needed. Just because things are "possible" doesn't make them meaningful.
    • Thanks for taking the time to post that ! If anything changes or happens please do update us.
    • Somehow Vertimass/Oak Ridge National Labs has figured out a catalyst that can convert ethanol into C9-C10 hydrocarbons in basically a single step without ending up with a bunch of ethylene or similar waste products: https://patents.google.com/patent/WO2023224867A1/en I still don't think anything like this will keep us from needing to transition to EVs regardless along with all kinds of other electrification, but things like this will go a long way towards alleviating the problem of how to electrify things like planes. Renewable diesel is seemingly an easier problem as well, Chevron is already running refineries for the stuff and the primary feedstock is tallow and other waste fats from agriculture.
    • Ok so I have sorted everything with my uniclutch and  i can offer up a bit of feedback and some things that might help others.    I found problems with factory damper line. Weird shit and had trouble with peddle adjustment    I used this https://au.gktech.com/products/r33-gts-t-skyline-braided-clutch-line?_pos=2&_sid=22b01b9b9&_ss=r Also when adjusting peddle leave a bit of play. You can get into a over stroke condition easy.. Make sure you can push the slave forward after adjusting to confirm fluid can return to master then you will need to pump it up heaps…..not sure why but that’s how it is.    last thing the splined adapter is machined perfectly. If your input shaft is old like mine was I would put a bit of valve grinding paste on it and stroke it like a 15 year old. Just to give it a tad more clearance and to better match it to the spline.    reason is on a near flat shift I have had situation where the peddle returns a millisecond after you lift from the clutch. No slip or anything but I reckon this is due to tolerance on the spline being way tighter than stock clutch and binding for a sec. I think this will go away but also my spline was old. Box is old so I guess I should have checked better. It’s a super neat fit.    it feels light as and holds awesome without any noise
