However i have been told that these fuel pres regulators are shit and you have to adjust them every week etc...??? is this true??? :(

I've used a Malpassi adj fuelregulator i min old Opel Astra Turbo and would never in my life put it in my Skyline. I had some problems with mine.

I used it for about 3 months and had to adjust it 5-6 times before I threw it out for an SX fuelregulator that worked perfectly.

Yeah mines fine. However we did have a black toped one on for a while, and that caused some major issues. Replaced it with a new silver topped one and fine and dandy. You can watch the gauge all day, heat changes etc, its fine. But as with everything I think age misstreatment and bad luck can play a part, and you never hear people whining about how GOOD a product is, only how bad one is.

Okay, let's up the ante... Why put one on at all?

Reading through the previous threads, the debate is still inconclusive as to whether the stock unit is just as good. It sounds like it is capable up to a point, but where is that point?

I have been given a fuel reg (I was told it's a Malpassi but it has no markings) and I really don't want to put it on because of all the problems being experienced by others. The car is my daily driver and reliablity for me is a bigger issue than having a fuel reg that may not be any better than the stock item.

Why fix it if it ain't broke?

Can we put this one to bed?
