There have been reported cases in Soarer Twin Turbo’s where the stock ceramic turbo’s have popped and the engine inhaled small fragments of the turbine wheel. Not a pretty picture when the piston tries to squash some super hard ceramic pieces against the head.

It’s only speculation, but exhaust gas reversion and the lightweight nature of the ceramic materials are the causes suspected as to how the pieces make their way into the combustion chamber.

Boosted RB26 is unfortunately correct, oil pump failure at high RPM without any sort of prior warning. Unknown condition of motor at this stage it sitting out of the car. Shame too because it was in great condition 160psi across the board.
