Hi All...

Just wonderin' if anyone has dealt with Johnson's Performance Centre in Thomastown. I plan to get some turbo work done and need feedback from customers that have had work done by them. Maybe some results pre and post upgrade??.. I've been told good things, but i'm lookin' more opinions...

I sourced my 'shortlist' by searching "Turbo" in the Yellow pages so I guess that wasn't the most complete of approaches. I've called around and was quoted a varying number of prices.... just about all of the businesses I contacted where "strictly" turbo shops (if there is such a thing)... I haven't contacted either of those that you've mentioned... might be worth the call tho for my own piece of mind.....

I've been watchin' that thread with interest... quite informative and would've saved me alot of time if there were threads with similar info on other garages as well. At the very least, it would've saved me a few hours instead of doing kamikaze searches on a few forums and makin' phone calls.

JPC. No thank's not again. 4 days to do a cam belt, no phone calls, did the work first before telling me what was wrong with it and then almost having heart failure from the price. Oh by the way $550 to do a cam belt supply and fit. Should have gone to a doctor would have charged less.....................................

chasers

do all the work on my car, great service great prices

they can build your engine in a week

benny even did my boost controller for free, perk of getting all your work done by him

I've just gotten back from Chasers then. Good setup there. Just watched Benny make up a custom stainless system for a B4 Legacy, very nice ;)

After seeing their work I'd also recommend them.

my 2 reccomendations:

For high spec tuning, modifications and repairs etc go to Genesis Racing. Talk to Craig there, he's literally an encyclopedia of tuning. Bass Junky went there recently with his R34 and was very happy.

The other is Creatd. Good for general tuning, and other not so top end work. Quality service too. Talk to skylinegeoff, he's a keen customer who goes back for more.

Not much difference really, Ben does know a hell of a lot about GTR's and track racing them (among other things).

I'd take my car to either workshop anytime with no worries in the world

A lot of people either use Race Pace or ICE and no-one has dramas that i know of

whats your thoughts on ICE performance vs Race Pace... I got my car tuned last time at ICE but i have been HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended to stay at Race Pace...

Any thoughts??

I would also advise against going to Ice...just my personal experience.

Everywhere will have good and bad experiences come from it....this is just one.

All the best! and happy new year! :-)
