Need accomodation on the Gold Coast at new years, Help!

Hi,

Guys i have a problem, im from NSW and some plans of mine have changed for new years so i now need to head to the Gold Coast on the 31st for new years. Now with it been such late notice i realise i have no chance of getting an apartment there for a few nights so i need some advice on some cheap motels in the area. I cant find much on the internet as most off the accomodation advertised on the net is resorts/appartments which are all booked out.

I just need a cheapish motel that isnt to far away from the main part of the Gold Coast so i need some recommendations, im guessing even this may be a long shot as far as beign booked out.

Any ideas anyone?

There are plenty of motels along the GC Highway that do standby rates... Not really walking distance to Surfers, but a cheap cab ride or bus will get you there... NFI how booked out they are though... I have a house to live in

get a street directory sor you can see how far to cavill etc, get the pages and make the calls. There's always something available.

or you can look on breakfree resorts .com (something like that) and S8resorts i think.

a place called the Sunset Court, within walking distance, not great but cozy and cheap, stayed there for schoolies, maybe yopu should give it a look at, 5 min walk from everything and 5-10min walk to the beach, right near cavill as well, bout 1 min walk but in a quieter area

This link might help you find somewhere cheapish to stay. Most of the accommodation posted on there is cheapish and shows maps and stuff of where it's located.

They normally only put up a fortnight in advance, so maybe check back on the weekend and see what accommodation they have listed for new years. Some of the hotels leave rooms spare to specifically put their deals on that website.

If you had have asked like two weeks ago. My friend's parents own the second top floor of acupulco. He had a room left and offered it to me cheap but I had no money so I couldn't. I just asked him before and he has filled it now.

anyone heard of the Anglers Arms motel? Its in queen street in southport or something. Its the only place i have found so far with accomodation.

Yep had many a beer at the Anglers... Just down the road from my work... Pretty close to the action I spose... Bout a 30 min walk to Cavill...
