Where can i find this?

One of my windows in the laurel wasn't moving, so i took the door trim off and swapped a little black box with the other sides, the window went straight down, but wouldn't go back up. I assume this is because the circuit wasn't complete after i took the black box (power window amp) from the other door and broke the circuit. This did however conclude that the window mechanicals themselves work which is good.

My question is..... where do i get a power window amp??? It's a little black box about 5cm's x 4cm's x 3cm's??

It is a reasonably commn problem with cefiro's and Laurels. There are very few if them available at wreckers etc. I HAD 2 but they both sold in ONE day.

Perhpas try to get one from Nissan in New Zealand.

aren't they the same as a skyline ones? I'd assume they were the same black boxes that an R32 had.

I have not double checked it for myself but i have previously been told that they are different.........*note to self, check if they are the same*

the power window system is very similar to aussie n14 with power windows.. they run a variable voltage to each window amp to make the window go up or down. maybe an aussie n14 one is the same??

I had the same problem but fixable you pull out the bord from the cover and you will see two black switches on it (approx 10mm x 20mm) holding the plug side with your right hand the verical one is for up horizontal one is for down. carefully cut the top cover off the broken one you will see a flat piece of metal that is magnetically moved by power. gigglr it lightly it should work then. cover the swich with electrical tape and put together it should work.

interesting..... runs off to get the stanley knife. I have two horizontal black boxes and one vertical green thing on mine. My camera is lame so pics are blurry

just checked fast, its the same part in local maxima's, R32 4 doors, laurels, and cefiro's. Take the part to your local nissan and get a replacement.

lol, $219 dollars and it has to come from Japan. I'll be right thanks nissan. Apparently moorooka auto electricians fix them up so i'll suss that out.
