I have just personally imported the above vehicle. I live in

Tassie so generally there isn't many options when it comes to people that deal with imports so I'm going to ask some questions here.

According to Transport Tas, the only major modification I need to do is australian compliant seatbelts in the vehicle (as well as some other minor stuff...). This is easy I can do this myself. My question is, does anyone know where I can source seatbelts to fit this vehicle? or is it possible to source them from another model car and fit them into the R32?

I haven't taken a good look at the seatbelts yet, but I have a HR31 I may be wrecking I was hoping the seatbelts may be able to swap over...

Cheers

Paul

If I was in your position, I'd just put the r32 items in (if they fit) and get it over the pits with them (because they are most likely going to be ADR compliant, as its an Aus released car...) and then swap the old ones back in.

How easy do you guys have it over there?! Don't you have to do intrusion bars, child points etc??

blacky

Well, apparently 2 weeks ago we didn't even have to do seat belts either, but now we do :D Slowly they are bringing us into line with Victoria, so next is intrusion bars etc... I want to get it on the road before i have to do more crap to it!!

Anyhow, some contacts for possible seat belt purchase would be good, i'd rather have it done properly rather than doing a dodgy and swapping back to the jap ones... however either or is fine with me in the end, i just want to get it regged

If you just want it regged, then go the swap-swap method. The Jap belts are perfectly good. But i cant really offer any contacts for you as I dont know what outlets u have in tassie, perhaps the equivalent of Supercheap/Repco, or maybe even order direct from Klippan?
