Modifications to an R32 from New Zealand

G'day all,

Am thinking about importing my R32 from New Zealand when I move to Brisbane next month. What modifications need to be done to a standard R32 for it to pass compliancy??

Need more information.........what year/month is the vehicle?

Is it GTR or GTST?

ps: It does not matter where it comes from......the rules are the same.

1992, don't know the exact month, R32 GTS25, coupe.

If you have owned the vehicle in NZ for more than 12 months, and are moving here and can provide documentation to back that up, you will be able to import it under the personal import scheme.........If not then you will be required to have complied through a RAW.

The latter won't be cheap.

Yeah the personal import scheme sounds like me then, are there any laws regarding the sale of a personally imported vehicle?? I heard / read something about I can't just import it and sell it like a week later or something - are there any laws to that effect??

The personal import scheme is not something i am all that familiar with , however i believe you are correct in saying that you are NOT allowed to sell the vehicle for a certain period of time........

I believe what he means is that the value of non turbo skylines is quite low in OZ, and therefore quite possibly not worth the effort and expense of importing it.

That's exactly what I mean..... You would be better off selling in NZ and brimging $$$$$. Do your homework.

Your comment about not bothering about an auto ... would you also apply that to an '89 GTS4 Auto, which is what I'm considering importing.
