I would recommend everything but the 18%

That was way too dark. I think at one stage I almost ran someone over as I was turning right, because I couldnt see to the right of me.

So 18% is way too dark, unless you are prepared to drive with your windows down the whole time.

28% isnt too bad. Not as dark as the 18% but probably as dark as I would want to get.

I think most people will be happy with either the 38% or the 28%. These two seem to be the most popular, according to Robert

I'll take some photos tonight (if I dont forget), but its hard to tell the difference because it depends entirely on lighting conditions

I have 18% tint on my GTR and I can see fine out the windows.

You're just a pansy!

Just kidding ;) Yeah, 18% is pretty dark, but I find it okay.... At night, just wind down the windows if you're reverse parking to let more light in the car.

what are you going to put on the beemer mate? 18 again?

I'm still trying to decide between 18 or 28 for the soarer. Bare in mind it has no grunt so it does at least have to look pimpin...

The soarer, I'd go for 18%, no hesitation. It's not that dark that you can't see out of it, but I guess I got used to it (I had 18/20% on the silver GTS-t, white GTS-t and the GTR)...

But from the outside it looks REALLY dark, and I'm not sure that would suit the look of the BMW. Ideally, I'd want 25% 3M Security Film :P But at this stage, I'll be going for 18% again for the bimmer.

Just an update :

I left the windows up for 3 full days and all the bubbles dissapeared (or at least i cant find them anymore) so im pretty happy about it.

I went with the 28%

Not too dark at all. It might be hard to see out of in a street with no street lights, but apart from that its great.

Ive already had a few friends comment on how good it looks, and how much cooler it makes the car, even if its been under the sun.

Went to Robert's place this morning and had my R31 done. The guy is an absolute champion. He did a great job and I'm REALLY impressed!

For $180, it was a real steal! Had Mum's car done as well, after I dropped off my car and switched it over. Had them both done in the non-reflective 28%.

I pulled out all my door trims, parcel shelf, and brake light to make it easier.

I would thoroughly suggest going to this guy!

MarkE you probably would have seen my car there today - white 33. I got two cars done last year, and both still holding up fine.

If anyone who gets the tint has any concerns, just contact Robert and he'll sort it out.

When I got mine last year, a couple of tiny (:P

Can someone please post pics? Especially of the 28%?

Roger that. I am particulary interested in something around the 25% mark. To those that say even lower is better, do you wear sunnies when driving as well?

Merli: nice to see you are back and posting again :P

LW.
