FONZ
I was thinking on bidding on this short shifter kit http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...ssPageName=WDVW but I wanted to know if it's really worth it. I heard that the gear changes get really notchy which is trade off for the shorter throw I guess. Anyone can tell me what their experiences are like? Parag0n
I've got a short shifter in my GTR, goes great, took me a couple of days to get used to however once you get the trick all other gearboxes feel sloppy. someonestolecc
I've got a copy as well I think it feels great. My gearbox is crap anyway I'd love it if it was in a nice gearbox - one of the best mods I've done to my car in terms of feedback. I must admit however mine is solid copper - which is great for everything except the fact that paired with a trust cnc gearknob it gets DAMN hot on hot days, on normal days its just hot. Goo'luck. (B1) MR_fanny
yeah not complaining about the feel, just the other stuff like having to rip off and cut existing things to put on the copy one. mine rattles cause the bottom end plastic thing is loose. im sure if u got the orginal ones theyre manufactured complete and everything fits perfectly. matter of convenience really. FONZ
Well, it looks like it'll be worth it then. Hopefully I'll get it for cheap! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/59090-cs-short-shifter-worth-it/#findComment-1136018 Share on other sites
SS8_Gohan
i probably heard wrong, but do these C's shifters put extra strain somewhere on the gearbox? reduce the lifespan of it or something?
