This is a bit of a rant so if you don't wanna hear my crap then go back now.

Otherwise here's the story.

I read a thread saying that some people wanted to buy some Bosch 044 high volume fuel pumps. So, me being the good natured person that I am, I go to work the following day and get a price on these things. They give me the price and I return promptly to post the price. I stated to my supplier that they had to be 044's and they confirmed that they were indeed said pump.

I organise the pumps and organise the buyers and today I go to pick them up. They tell me that I cannot have them for the price that they told me because they had made a mistake and quoted me on a different pump. I now have to tell everyone that I can no longer get them at this price and everything has turned to sh1t. Not only this but the price I can have them for is $125 more than they originally quoted.

Why can't we trust people for accurate information anymore?. Here I am thinking that I am doing people a favour and all I do is stuff everyone around coz someone can't get their sh1t right.

I'm sorry to anyone I stuffed around because of this. I thought I was helping.

Next time I'll have to double make sure I'm getting the right info.

    • The once piece tail shafts with cv type joints on either end are the ones that end up vibrating and the vibration is caused by the cv joint binding as it turns, I’ve also seen them explode from the binding
    • Take this with a pinch of salt, it's from someone (me) who got annoyed with turbos entirely. I hated aftermarket lines. If I had the option to use hardlines with whatever turbo I had - I would use them, 10/10, 100% of the time. The only reason people go larger, heat resistent, shielded lines etc is because they have to. And yes they don't last forever. Even if you spend big bucks on all the best heat shielding money can buy, with the best heat resistant, fuel resistant, oil resistant, radiation resistant hose, they get stiff and break down and just don't last the way a metal pipe will.
    • Unfortunately I am quite literally halfway across the globe. So all sources for parts like that are far away for me. What do you mean by that exactly?
