Tried to search for this as im sure it would have come up before, but have you ever tried typing 'tail lights' in a search on these forums?

Anyways i've noticed a couple of R33 skylines that seems to have a differnt brake light sequence to my own, just wondering if this is a modification or perhaps a standard on differnt model 33's.

My sequence involves,

Headlights on = all 4 hot plates on.

Braking = 4 hot plates on and spolier light on.

Alternative sequence,

Headlights on = 2 Outer most hotplates on.

Braking = 2 Inner most hotplates on + Spolier light.

I have mine,

4 hot plates for when the lights are on

Both the outter ones for braking and the spoiler.

You dont have to be a guiness to do this. All i did was cover one of the electrodes (one is for normal light and the other is for brake. My ones have the brake one covered) of the inner lights (on the light globes) with electrical tape in order that it wont light up when you push the brakes. Thats it

You can make it as shifty as you want.

I simply cut the wire powering the inner tail light (at the tail lamp assembly). So I have:

Headlights + 2 hotplates

4 brake lights

So, at night I get 2 fresh lights come on when I brake (don't have one of those ridiculous "eye-level" brake lights).

hmmm, cut or simply put electrical tape...

i think i know which one is more practical, in a way that u can change the sequence when you like to. Instead of cutting then you decide you dont like it anymore and have to solder the wires back together...

yea its easy but ive actually gott make the effort to do it lol

forget the orange lense like i could be bothered changing it ill just leave it red

or i can make the current indicator the reverse light as well as being the indicator.

either way the problem isnt the lights its covering the hole where the old revrse lights are meant to be (either side of the number plate). i would get a genuine aussie spec rear bar but i didnt have time to order it before i painted the car and ill never be able to match the colour so im gonnahave to get some thing made up maybe out of CF or something
