replacing engine

anyone help me withthe legalities of replace a blown engine... as in engine plate numbers and such... transport SA???... all it is is a driect replacement... thats all.. rb25.

If you are worried bout the different numbers.......I would imagine it wouldnot be any issue, as you simply notify the dept of transport that you have changed the engine.

hey i just looked at the department of planning and infrastruscture site for WA all we need to do is notify them or if u want they ( for free) will look at it and sighn off on it and update ure rego....

wat paper work would you need to give the RTA or who ever??

like to prove the engine is legit????

In NSW:

You have to go to RTA and pick up a Vehicle Identification slip.

Go to an Authorised Blue Slip mechanic, get them to verify the engine number matches with what's on the paperwork (reciept from mechanic)

Go back to RTA then give them the verified identification paper.
