ok, i've been looking into this as a v cheap version of the pioneer dvh 7550

http://www.jpkobestar.com/lcd/all-in-one.htm

it essentially looks the same as the pioneer, although does not have the touch screen that the pioneer does, i have got a few pages of the manual, and the 'brains box' also looks the same as the pioneer ... for all intense purposes it looks the same !!

i'm just waiting to see if i can get some pics of the menu system to see how close the firmware is to the pioneer, i can get these landed to my door for about $1000 which is about 3500 bux cheaper than the pioneer .... !!!

does anyone have any experiense with them ???

a similar brand is also by LMdigital, based in korea, the unit again looks identical, similar model number, and the specs reports a v similar spec to the pioneer, just waiting on a price for that ....

thoughts anyone ???

Bottom line is, you get what you pay for.

Brands that try and mimmic 'superior' brands are riding on the other brands good name.

You may find parts and built quality to be inferior.

I have seen it happen..... but then again, this product may be of high quality

Buyer beware.

    • I spent the entire of the long weekend going through my garage and I'm now, after 3.5yrs in this house, able to fit a car in. The garage is quite long and the back half has a high enough ceiling for a 2 post lift but it's going to just take too much space and I don't think I'd be able to get around the car if it was in the air. So, in comes the quick lift. It looks perfect. High enough to do most things, I reckon even getting a gearbox out would be doable.  Does anybody here have one? They're fairly cheap (~$3k) considering...  https://www.dtmtrading.com.au/product/quick-lift-portable-vehicle-hoist-3500-kg-worksafe-approved/ I'm also a bit of a non risk taker so I'd probably still use stands when under!
    • Well now we all see it! I did the same. Then cut it out. Then melted half of it. Then discarded it entirely. So... you're in good company.
    • I just replaced the god awful, sagging, crunchy bonnet insulation. It's something nobody but I see but it's been at me for a while.
    • yeah the south island is stunning, the wifes family is from the west coast down there so we were down there for christmas.   a high 10 would be a stretch but hilarious if it happened. fourth gear is its party gear, i don't have traction to throw more at it at lower speeds. I've found passengers don't think its that fast, i think it's because it has a digital dash so they can't see the needle move so they have no sense of speed
    • You have (externally anyway) a lot of patience!  At the very least your patience has rewarded you financially even if you decided you were over it!! I only just read your first experience of seeing the car, that would have been amazing!  Well documented too! It must be exciting knowing there's only 10 months left until you can get it on a boat and on it's way!!!???
