SVD apparently arent interested in GTS1s and GTS2s anymore. even though thats what basically founded the club.

Heaps of tech info and friently advice

SAU are good also, especially for me having an import 31

Db R31(Jason),

Just to prove your right Mel i will give SVD a plug. It's a club that was formed many years ago here in adelaide(and chapters in most states) that cater for the aussie r31,exa's,pulsars,and the ltd edition svd skylines. It now not only has these in the club but in diminishing numbers unfortunately but caters for all grey imports(Nissan). We do all the normal car stuff, track days at mallala, drags air,car shows, cruises,go kart days, video nites, barbies etc, etc.

We just try to have fun with like minded people, keep out of trouble where we can,and get on with it. Unfortunitly we get slagged off a lot by other clubs/people note above, but little do these people realise there is many members of SVD here on these forums(and Mel its not a club yet-no one has gotten off their arses to organise it yet)

Just to prove i'm not single minded their is also a chapter of the national r31 club here in adelaide and there is also SMASA who cater for all types of cars and events, so Jason there is plenty to choose from.Contact the SVD by attending a club meeting 1st tues of the mnth upstairs Directors Hotel, Gouger St at 7.30pm all are welcome!

Timmmmaaaaayyyyy,

You and many others are all guilty of slagging us off,we have members as young as 16 on their 'p's,and out of interest is that most people(if not all) who slag us off have never tried to join or shown any interest in coming along to any of the events we run and give the club a try before joining up,so to you all who continually put us down either put up or shut up!!(so what if there are some members over 21,30,40, hell even 50 we were young once and still very much young at heart and get shit loads of satisfaction in using our cars!!!!!)

I have thought about joining many clubs and was once a member of SVD.

The reason is I have to many commitments at present so I am not going to a member of any club. SVD has gone through a big change in the last few months so things are looking good for the club. All I can say is go and have a look if it does not take your fancy try Club PSI don't know what is going on but I am sure that some one here will put you the right direction for all the clubs in SA.

Don't listen to people too much about good or bad clubs because they really don't have a clue what they are talking about . They might have had one bad experience with a club or member and that is it. Go and see a couple of clubs and you make your mind up.

Good Luck!

To Tiimmmaaayyyy and all,

Before this turns into a bitch fight i think enough is ENOUGH.lets just leave it at that and give new forum readers good advice not slagging anyone, give them the opportunity to make up their own mind and not corrupt them with predjuces or i'll informed advice.

We are all car enthuists no matter what every one drives, lets enjoy each other, each others opinion, and more importantly each others cars. There is simply too much shit going on in the world today without getting petty, and besides it could get to the stage where we need a united front to tackel big brother in the near future---- so UNITED we stand!!!

I think he is yet again talking about me timmy.. N1 R33 GTR.. id rather eat my own shit than be friends with someone like you. I can post on any forum I like, I dont need your permission, neither does Mel. Mel was IN SVD and has formed an opinion on how she was treated.

I used to have a problem with the SVD club, when they were governed by the former presidents etc, but now they have changed a fair bit and from what I hear Kym is doing a good job. Some of my friends are in SVD. I guess when choosing stuff like Clubs, you have to make up your own mind, instead of following the sheep.

The above post is just another sample of SVD bashing which i have mentioned above! And could i be so bold as to ask when you were told you wereTOO young to join SVD???Cant wait to see this answer peoples....

Venting - great!!! The thread title intreagued me, the content well... Keep your politics and predjudices out of the forums.

It impresses me as much as the WA thread that went off a month or so back. FFS

I'd like to comment on the rides in Your Avatars though. The 32's rate high. Mel, Cheeky and MADGT4. 4DSleeper, I hear ya!

Jason - If your reading this thread it doesn't reflect well on any of us mate. Check em out at your leisure and where you feel welcome and comfortable thats the one for you.

The SAU forum, in my opinion, is gr8 and the website by chillam is an obvious for a specific site for your skyline www.r31skylineclub.com

Good Luck

Your 51 validating my comment

I mean SAU is more youngish and SVD has never appealed to me!

Too toned down and weak basically, never heard anything good about it

I just prefer to hang out with people/clubs that are so strung up on their image ie: you

stick with SAU - im amazed at how well this forum has been designed - alot of brainstorming has gone into keeping it a nice happy community... Its also the first forum ive been on where you goto the offtopic section (generally youll find porn, jokes, misc websites/pics, bad relationships) and youll still see tech posts on skylines and various nissans - truely fantastic!

Congratulations to PranK and the SAU Mod crew

    • I did a bit of googling, the color MCM used was Galaxy Grey from House of Kolor. This is actually a colour I picked out about ~10+ years ago (or more). This one is a stock BMW colour, I guess over the years I figured it was smart to get an OEM colour that was pretty common for all of those sensible reasons one can think of..
    • I absolutely love having clean wheels and also totally love cleaning them. Its not as important to me to have a clean car exterior as it is to have clean wheels. So I bought a kit. I generally use different products for my wheels than anything else, so I thought I'd buy a proper kit and bucket to keep it all in. I got this one from Waxit. I also got the CQuartz wheel and plastic ceramic along with a bunch more application micro fibre pads as CQuartz never provide enough.  The kit was good, but as usual the big, long spongey thing didn't fit between my spokes, so I needed to use a detailing brush and a larger brush that I already owned (been doing this forever, the spokes on these wheels are frustrating.) I did a full clean with the wheel cleaner, it has an iron killing product in it, so I found that I could just use the cleaner and nothing else on the wheels. The tyre cleaner and handled brush were awesome. Made cleaning the tyres so easy. Once everything was clean, I decontaminated with isopropyl and applied the ceramic. Two coats. I bought 2 bottles as I have a lot of wheels to do, half of one bottle did two coats on these. The X5 has 20's so I reckon probably 3/4 on that. Then, for possibly the best part, the wheel cleaning kit comes with a tyre black applicator. But, this is possibly the greatest sponge of all time - its a great size, quite stiff and HAS A COVER! When you finish applying the black, you just put the cover back on! This is revolutionary, I normally have to try and find safe places to put my tyre black applicators as they are covered in silicone and tyre crap. Or, you use something which just falls apart. This applicator is the bee's knee's. Get one. It's worth it. The tyre black is also like a cream, its very thick but goes on really thin, its very easy to use with the applicator. Ayway, after a big clean, decontam, ceramic coat and tyre black the wheels went back on and they look awesome.   Thought I'd share.
    • Haha. Good work. I feel some of your pain because I spent a bunch of time under my car over the period too. Probably nowhere near as much as you did. My happiness is similarly improved by obtaining a desired result though. Those side skirts are.....hecking. Very unfriendly for street and hoist. Sounds to me like you've made a cart that needs to be driven up only planks/blocks at a 2 post hoist, rather than trying to get it up onto a 4 poster. It's very pretty, by the way. Somewhat reminiscent of Marty's squid ink on SuperGramps - at least in the photos.
    • Absolute Legend 🍻 After fighting with the scanned ones for the last 10 years this is a God send
    • ATTAKD 356mm Brake Kit for R34 GTT or R33 GTST. Same brake kit as per here from JJ: https://justjap.com/products/attkd-brake-kit-nissan-skyline-r34-99-02?currency=AUD Can confirm these will bolt directly to a R33 GTST with 12mm bolts OR to a R34 GTT (which is what I had) with the supplied bolts and the collets for the 14mm bolt holes in the R34, which are included. Also included is a set of rotors and hats, as well as 2x brake pad sets. 1) DBA XP (street, hills) 2) Forza FR6 (track) These are radial mounted and bolt directly to R33/R34. You will need extended brake lines to avoid them being full stretch on lock - this is common for all BBK's with the bolt point being in the center. In my case I welded another stud about 25mm lower than the OEM one and retained stock lines and fittings. You'll want a BM57 BMC to get the most out of these. I speak from experience. $1800 (neg for SAU people), located SE Suburbs Melbourne.
