R32 gts-4 air con making clicking noise?

noticed today that when my aircon is working that it makes a clicking noise. it won't stop unless you turn it off again. and today i turned off the car and i heard this hissing noise ( sounds like a leak in the lines ) and didn't stop for about 5 mins.

i didn't turn the air con back on as i was to scared to. what do you think is the problem?

and help would be great!!

i have the same noise

i found that changing it to blow out the top vents and not under the dash also helps

mine does it too but mine isnt gassed at the moment but it wen it happens if i turn it off then turn it back on 9 time out of 10 its gone

the noise is actually coming out from under the front of the car? as to be maybe the pump that runs off the motor.

It sounds like the air-con compressor to me.

Does the ticking noise increase with revs?

yeah.. i turned it on again after this incident and there was no noise but there was no cool air at all.

Sound to me like air con compressor. Mine let go on my R33 last year. Whoops in 2003. I ended up finding an original replacement but it cost me and arm and two testicles (about $1700) all up by the time the system was flushed and dryer replaced.
