I had an old set of my rims powder coated. The prep work is what makes the powder coating work/look good. If the rims are in good condition, they will only need a good clean + light sand. I got my rims done for free because I knew someone in the business, but I would estimate that is would cost about $200-$400 for a set of 4 wheels.

powdercoating is cheap as chips.

example.

i make staircases for a living.i had 2 huge c channel beams about 4m long, each weighing about 150kg.

one had 4 posts welded to it.

i consider it to have been a very heavy and hard job to do.

total cost was

sandblasting $180

powdercoating $180
