Got Radared (Need Help!)

Hi Guys,

I got radared today and was doing maybe 5-10kms over the limit. The police vehicle did not pull me over or anything. Should i be worried? Do they have radar cameras? There was no box or anything outside the vehicle. If i was radared shouldnt the cop pull me over usually. Any advice?

mate don't stress - if it was a handheld gun and they didnt wave you off the road then their gun didnt show you as going over the limit. It'd either be they werent pinging you, or their gun or your speedo or a combination of both is out.

yeh it was a hand held gun. I should be in the clear. Thanks for your advice im a bit happier to hear that. As i was EPA a couple of months ago, I didnt want a Speeding Fine.

Also if you were only going 5-10 k over they are likely to let you go......if they are cops with common sense that is

If you have a clean record for 3 years (no speeding fines etc, parking fines dont count).. then you should contest any fines as you will most likely get a caution, presuming you write a real nice letter with a decent explanation of why you were speeding.

Well of course you will probably only be able to get one caution, but its always worth contesting fines, gives you longer to pay at the worst.
