its mostly a mith that the Pit is a licensing black hole (of course depending where you go) Apparently Warwick is a no-go, but East Perth was excellent, took an RX7 over there with rock hard suspension, intake bits, massive exhaust, and while he was fairly thorough he wasn't a bastard. Was taken for a drive and given my plates.

Dont stress too much, just try East Perth and welshpool first.

Hi guys

New in these forums - a few posts in the Stagea section... about to (hopefully) take delivery of my Neo6 "family wagon" in a few weeks :D

I am buying mine from an eastern states import yard - never been registered (newly complied) - so will come off the transporter at my door - then off to the pits for inspection... anyone know if this first time registration will be any different to a transfer from another state that uve said in this thread not to worry too much about??? Its important coz I have the option of getting some parts (rims, lowering, tow-bar) fitted at the yard before it comes over - but wont do the mods til after rego if anyone knows it will be under a closer or different type of inspection coz its the first time????

Thanks

Adam

PS Also thining of getting a custom towball fitted in QLD - would the pits guys worry about it if it looked done right? Or do they need load-rating stickers etc on them legally?

if your mods are reasonable and legal i wouldnt worry 2 much . ie rims are within allowed size difference and cars not 2 low . i dont know about tow bars though .

as your interstate rego is your main form of vehical identification you will need to make sure youve got all the import / compliance paper work and proof of ownership . give the department of planning and infrastructure a call and see what they require . also some states will give you a temporary rego for interstate transfer that might help to .

but give them a call and make sure , essentially youve got to prove ownership and compliance .

in terms of inspection tho everything will be the same , its just paperwork difference .

also i got my transfer at warrick , no probs . if you got a pretty stock skyline/stagea i wouldnt worry at all

Id suggest that a first time inspection of a car thats never been regoed will be 1) more expensive (113 dollars vs 56 dollars) and more indepth as the engineering papers etc will have to be double checked.
