Am selling my HKS VPC as I'm upgrading management

These units remove the need for AFM's and convert it to a MAP

Comes with everything - air temp sensor, map sensor, main unit, all wiring and separate loom intercept (which goes between the ecu and the loom, wiring all completed for the vpc to plug straight in)

I'm in Perth but can post interstate

After $450ono for it

Cheers

if only for rb25 mmm mmm...

these are rare as shit people...

the VPC unit eliminates the need for an AFM by using a MAP sensor which is then connected to the main VPC box which converts the MAP signal to MAF and then sends it to the ECU (basically tricks the ecu)

180athid - most of US Supra owners switch to VPC's as their models came out with AFM's, and they never seem to have problems with it.

In terms of handling power, I guess if the Veilside GTR (domestic fastest street speed GTR) has one, then that's good enough :(

rx-[7] - yes they will mate, it's own loom connects between the ecu and the engine loom (the blue-ended loom in this picture http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/fuel_cont...rol/hksvpc2.jpg). It creates its own MAP and removes the need for the AFM's, without affecting the management

    • Last year I got a set of MCA street coilovers for my turbo Forester after my son hitting a concrete gutter/wall on a small bridge causing the whole drivers side suspension to get bent because the rain just made the car slide out I love them, I think they were $2400. even had a hiccup of have the wrong hub configuration (my fault) so got onto MCA and they sent the correct shock ends overnight parts from QLD, for free!  I was very impressed with their customer service and quality of the product
    • They've had some weird failures on their brake actuators. One of them was because they added some kind of lubricant to the factory fill brake fluid that aftermarket brake fluid didn't have so it would affect the seals. Another was just mysterious, probably internal corrosion or something eating away at Prius brake actuators. Parts alone for those are a few thousand USD so not a cheap fix.

    • KYBs are typically twin tube, putting them in the lower tier of desireability. Do you just want to replace worn out ones for the lowest cost? I mean, you wouldn't just replace one end of a car, if the rears are a similar age to the fronts, then they are probably nowhere near what they should be, and likely won't be great against brand new fronts. So, to spend ~$800 on 2nd tier dampers, when you could get a decent set of MCA coilovers for <$4k.....? As to the strut tops. 1st up, the Sparesbox site specifically tells you that they are not correct for an R33. Beyond that, why do you think you need them?
