G'day Phat,

My old R33 GTS-t had a 2 way in it (not sure of the brand).

I got the same advice from a few workshops around, and they advised me to try Nissan's fiction modifier.

Comes in a plastic bottle of about 60-70mls. They use it in the Nissan patrol diff's to quieten them down - apprently they behave in a simpular way to a 2 way !!

So, after buying the 70ml bottle of fluid from Nissan for ~$74 (trade price), I put it in the diff and let it wear in a bit.

I noticed a bit of a difference but not a big one. i just learnt to put up with the skipping and the 'what the hell is that' and 'I think your wheels are falling off' comments... :(

would it be good enuff to stop the whole back end from shaking up etc?

Probably not....even if the diff had been setup very 'tight', the worst that should happen is that you'd get persistant 'squeelling' from the tyres on tight turns. In fact it would be a bit like a locked diff (CIG locker :) ) which are bitch on tight turns (parking, etc). If your getting a lot of shaking, suggests something's actually damage, but it could also be shot suspension bushes or even a damaged driveshaft.

We used to use "Lubrasol" in diffs at work. stops chattering, binding (which I think U have), and quietens them down some.

Engineers have banned it though, coz they want to see how long the diffs last in their "natural form."
