^^ You don't make sense.

Exactly what i said. R33 turbo models are not GTST,they are GTS25T. only R32 came GTST just the same as R34s only came GT-T.

Wankery technical i know but facts is facts.

well then people should refer to their cars as ECR33, BNR33, etc if you are going to get technical about abreviating models

Difference being there isnt ECR33 stamped on the rear end is there?

I know im bein a technical dildo but i like technical stuff.

But yeah a GTST is a GTS R32 Skyline with an RB20DET

And yeah ill admit i don't Prance around saying GTS25T all the time, but atleast i know the secret truth.. lol

On a side note: is the 34 a GT and not a GTS because of the fact its a different shape and design from the GTR as opposed to R32 and R33 being of the same sort of design?

There is not R34 GTS iirc

Yeah i was asking if anyone knew the reason for this.

badges dont mean shit vl have holden badges on the back

but they have a rb30 in em they dont have gts30t on the back do they

And we have a winner..

If ls1 engined commodores have chev badges, shouldn't rb30 vl's have nissan badges?

My hardcore commo loving friends did not like that question lol.

Do you REALLY want to see a Nissan badge on this?

Neither would I.

And Reading the argument about the GTS25T, I knew that that is the model of the car but when people ask "is it a GT or GTST", do you really want to reply "Neither, its a GTS25T"?

R34 only came out in the GT, GTT and GTR(vspec etc).

VL Calais is a nice car but its not Nissan just like a holden is not a chev.

And if i want to be technical, yes i do want to say it lol.

And no one seems to have read my question right. i was asking if 34 is GT and not GTS because of the fact the GTR isn't essentially the same car with bigger guards. GTR 34 has shorter wheelbase as well.

Bahahahahaha very true

Yes it is. The chev badge pisses me off for one reason only, and its that the owners wont admit its there purely because it looks nice, in fact a hell of a lot nicer badge design than holden. IF they really wanted to get picky about their badges and motors, hell they would have a gm badge on it, not a chev badge. That has the same significance as a pontiac badge, but the pontiac badge doesnt look good. The owners have them because they look nice, thats it.. if only they would man up and admit it.

    • Hi all   what short shifter do you use on your skykine r34?   my synchronous does have a problem and i was getting huge delay and grinding sound between 2nd and 3rd, did put shockproof red heavy stuff and it is great now/ no issues   would in your view short shifter screw this up?   people seems to suggest/ use cube short shifter and there is standard and premium. Seen review of premium as much better and less play. Thoughts?
    • Yeah, there's a bit of a density and friability difference between pebbles and any of those other things. Silicone will definitely float in oil and so will be mobile enough to move around. Although, again, if it is upstream of the filter it really shouldn't go any further. I would only ever worry about silicone when it is in places downstream of the filter. Upstream of the pickup is a whole 'nother matter. We've all seen what that does. I have seen the most abominable crap settled out in industrial gearboxes, trunnion lube systems and the like, without any sign that any of it has touched anything in the machine. Just chilling in the bottom, waiting for the inevitable operator error that causes the whole machine to need to be dismantled for repairs.
    • I have seen enough fire and brimstone from TSBs about roloc disks causing spun bearings that foreign object contamination is top of mind for me. For sufficiently large particles you might be right but usually it’s a distribution of debris and some of the larger particles can also break down and shed bits. If local shops report RTV contamination in a turbo is enough to wreck them I’m taking zero chances if I can help it.
