GT3 doesn't work with HDAdvanced 2.1 :(

I can't explain that one... It works for me with every HDL/HDA I've tried

What's the hack version?

HDLoader modified with ToxicOS core, designed to boot from a mem card rather than from CD/DVD. ToxicOS is an OS for the DMS4 modchip which enables a lot more functionality. http://www.exploitstation.com/index.php?page=elfs second link from the bottom of the list.

I suggest you check out Alex's website a few posts up. With your retail HDadvance you can install any HDL/HDA onto your memcard & put the HDA discs away !

He's got awesome tut's that will walk you thru step-by-step, to PS2 Independence ! (major props to Alex, your site ROCKS !)

Hope that helps some.

For GT4, I just recreated it by extracting the ISO using DVD Decrypter, applying the patches to CORE.GT4 using toolboy's NTSC pack (his PAL pack dosen't seem to work for me, even though I'm using an original PAL GT4 to rip an image from), then remaking the IML file using CDVDGen, and remaking the ISO using IML2ISO, then uploading the ISO to the HDD using WinHIIP on the PC.

Soul Calibre 2, you can get a patch (PPF3) that should fix the issues with that.

Narkeh, I recreated Midnight club 3, taking out the padding files and removing the Disc check, the ISO is about 3gb (as opposed to 4gb) and works fine (no lockups when going resuming a career from a save). I should probably put up a tute on ps2hd forums but I cbf. Can't get in game music though :D I just play it on my Xbox, so much easier to rip and retains soundtrack.

Been playing Def Jam - Fight for NY lately... such an awesome game.

Narkeh, you don't need a modchip to run the ausdigital stuff. Just boot up like you usually do, then go into the explorer that I installed on your memory card, and browse the disc and choose the ELF that you wanna run. ELF is sorta like PS2 exe files.

shan - keylauncher no longer loads... goes str8 to HDLoader

shan - how he *** do u create or edit the BEDATA-SYSTEM file on the memory card so i can add the MAME thing to it and a few other elfs... or do u just dump the elfs onto the memory card???

you've been f**kin with the default load settings for keylauncher havent you?

anyways, I put a ftp client in you BEDATA-SYSTEM that should allow you to FTP into your memory card using the ethernet port on IP 192.168.1.85. you can then get into BEDATA-SYSTEM and put the ELF file in there if you want it to be on your memory card, or you can use the DMS HDD Format tool I put on there to create a useable Unix partition and put the file in there.

Where'd you get the memory card editor from? how much and what type? The one I have is startin to shit me as parallel port is so unreliable.

ed, i've got an Xbox as well, I play Midnight club on that as the game is slightly faster, and the graphics are a bit quicker with less polygons getting stuffed (check out the tyre well and when your car hits the ground off a jump on PS2)... plus the soundtrack works when you rip the Xbox ISO. But there's some games that are PS2 exclusive, like GT4, D1GP etc, and makes it all the more worthwhile.

yeah but what prog do i use to edit that data file?

i got the same one u did... the EMS thing with the data cable... there was a USB one too but it was more expensive.

i havent touched the files... it all ***ed up 2 days after i started using it and eylauncher loaded HDLoader instead without any input... not a huge issue but i cant do much else other than play games and dump games on the HDD... got about 18 now.

its causing me to loose too much sleep tho... too many to chose from.

what have you got, I just put tekken 5 on... mmm tekken 5.. works fine with no repacking etc. bring your HDD over for a leeching. I got Midnight Club 3 working fully and shaved a gig off the iso as well... I'll chuck it on your HDD and delete it coz I got it on my Xbox, the game loads fast, the graphics are smoother, and the soundtrack works unlike the PS2.

i dont want it if it has no soundtrack...

Got...

armoured core 3 (vs mode doesnt seem to work tho)

d1 (of course)

death by degrees (that game with that slart from tekken)

Def Jam - Fight for NY

Devil May Cry 3

Fight Night - Round 2 (most addictive game ever)

FF X2

San Andreas

Metal Gear Solid 3

Resident Evil - Outbreak

Rugby 2005

Shadow of Rome

Sonic Heros

Sonic Mega Collection

Tekken 4

The Punisher

Tokyo Extreme Racer 0

Transformers

Wakeboarding Unleashed (was meant to be another game but somoene put it in the wrong case)

going down to grab another 3 tomorrow before gym...

Heres a gamelist that i did with a few additions...

add ur on to it and then upload it and we can keep adding to it... i'll host it somewhere and keep one main one updated with all the ones u guys ad.

    • UPDATE: Hi all!  As we are getting towards the end of this thread where I’ll showcase final dyno numbers and graph, I wanted to provide an update. Tao from HyperGear has done an amazing job building the custom divided T3 housing for the G30. Communication was flawless, price was great, and now the housing is estimated to arrive in 7-10 days! Very very pleased. I must add, if someone is looking for an affordable turbo and end up reading this thread, I would recommend HyperGear. Genuine brands are the way to go as their reliability is proven, performance can be predictable, and there’s a plethora of information available for specs, flow, and more. This HyperGear recommendation is based on their excellent communication, dedication, and willingness to listen to their customers. I particularly liked their ability to create custom adaptations tailored to specific needs, which is a HUGE benefit over other brands. And if we consider the HyperGear provided dyno results, it adds reassurance knowing their turbos can compete against genuine brands. Next update will be after the dyno!
    • I've previously seen people post up "dress up bolt kits" for RBs but don't remember seeing them specify the full contents. I can only really suggest you grab the verniers and start measuring, and keep in mind the cam cover and timing cover bolts are both quite specific with a wider unthreaded section where the bushes sit, that will make it hard to get aftermarket replacements which tend to be all thread (set screws) or for longer bolts a flat section with a shorter threaded section at the end
    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.

    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
