I've got an early 90's Marantz PM42 amp..

The quality on this is awesome. Can drive 2 pairs of speakers at around 80wrms.

Has multiple inputs. Its strictly a stereo amplifier (no decoders or receiver), so mainly good for music and the like in conjunction with some high quality speakers (B&W or the like)

Still has a fairly modern look, and casing in black.

If you know your hifi, marantz makes some of the best gear. That step above your Pioneers, Sony, JVC, etc without getting too silly on price.
