Leaking ABS.

hey guys. i am waiting for R32 GTR to be complied and i have now been told that my abs unit is leaking brake fluid. how bad is this? have any others on this forum had a similar problem? i am really worried about how much this will cost to fix.

as for the rest of the car i am told it has OHLINS adjustables and nismo sway bars and strut braces which i didnt know about so i cannot complain too much. if only the shop would hurry up i will be alright.

Is it leaking from the caliper piston? the seal around the piston might be due for replacement. but depends how bad it is may need a rehaul. Nothing that a good brake shop can't do. If only leaking at the hose then just get it replaced with some ADR approved braided hose. There's plenty around and a recent group buy you can get it cheap < $350)

thanks for that. i am not sure where it is leaking yet as the shop didnt say but as long as it doesnt cost the earth to fix i should be alright.

I've just recently picked up my R32 GTR as well. It had a huge leak from the ABS. I ended up replacing the entire unit at a cost of $550 for a secondhand unit. I asked several places if they could do the seals on the unit & was told ...." no-one had any experience with these particular units" ..... Good luck.
